East London 31 - 0 Ravens

Tash Berbank25 Nov 2019 - 19:28

Yesterday really was a tale of two halves when the Ravens took on East London, marking the mid way point in the league.

The home side got off to a good start, with the Ravens weary to wake up in the first 20 minutes. East London took full advantage and ran in several tries within the opening quarter.

But as usual, the Ravens were not to be defeated so easily. They upped their game and piled on the pressure.

With some magnificent cross field kicks, scrummaging and turnovers at the breakdown, it wasn’t long before the Ravens were back in the opposition half and holding possession.

Towards the end of the first half, and for a most of the second half, the Ravens had a lot more control, however, they never quite managed to convert that into points.

Another tough game for the Ravens but a huge amount of heart and massive improvements leave them confident heading into the second half of the season.

Forward of the match could have gone to many members of the pack, but this week went to Rosie for some great work all over the park and in the scrums!

Back of the match this week went to both Lucy Kerr and Jemma for some great work in attack.

Big thanks to East London for hosting and treating us to Domino's after the match!

We’d also like to thank Fran, Emily, Clarkey, John, Mikey, Jen for all the help and to everyone who came to support and those that got us there.

We have a week off now for a well earned rest before facing Harwich away on Sunday 8 December.
