Subscriptions
Romford & Gidea Park RFC is an all inclusive club whose main goal is to bring the benefits of the game of Rugby Football Union to its wider local community.
We ask all our members to make a fair and equitable contribution to the general upkeep of the club and for match day expenses. The rates below are recommendations; you can pay more if you wish..
We have always made provision for the unemployed & students by offering them half rates. If, in this current financial climate, any family or individual are having further difficulties then arrangements can be made at the discretion of the committee. These arrangements will remain private between both parties. Financial constraints are not a barrier to playing rugby. We believe the club is like a family who tries to look after its members in bad times. This can be repaid either on the field or by helping the club in better times.
Gift Aid: As Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) we ask all members to fill in a Gift Aid Declaration Form (available from the club web site). This is a one-time form, which enables the club to reclaim from the Inland Revenue, the tax you may have paid on any donations you have made to the club (currently 28p for each £1 you give).
Standing Orders: The Club recommends that subscriptions are paid by Standing Order. This has the benefit of spreading payments over a longer period for the members, providing a regular income for the club, and an aid to financial planning. The control of the S/O (amount and frequency) remains with the member. The club has no influence with their bank.
Parents: The club asks that at least one parent of a Youth/Mini Player become club member. This would show additional support to the club with the added benefit of being able of hire club facilities at preferable rates, which Under 18s can not do.
